 "Iroda O-Grill 1000" 2009-10-02
By Shane the camper guy (Arizona)
I have been looking for a camp grill with the quality of my Weber Q and finally found this Iroda O grill. I got the smaller O 1000 and just love it. The only issue I had with the Weber Q was storage and the Iroda takes only a third of the space in my small RV. The quality is outstanding and my Coleman skillet fits it great for breakfasts and even baking. This grill will become very popular once the word is out. I look for quality, ease of cleaning and storage, this grill gets high marks on all.

"Very happy with this grill." 2009-09-15
By Elizabeth Ward (Massachusetts)
I bought the O-Grill 3000 recently. It was simple to set up and use.

I have only used it a couple times but find it to be a high quality product. The first use was for more than I had planned to use it for. I had 25 people and it stood up very well. It heats evenly. Cleaning is easy as well.

 "Sexy AND can cook!" 2009-09-04
By Corey DiRu (Columbus, OH)
I've had my O-Grill for just over five months and it, despite heavy use and traveling, still looks brand new. It is VERY durably constructed and all the components have a comforting, sturdy mass to them. Contrary to most grills that feel "sturdy" the O-Grill is very portable, as it can be easily packed up and carried off to a picnic table; it is certainly not however, a backpacking or hiking item - so don't try to make it one.

I've use my O-Grill in many situations, from backyard BBQ's, to making s'mores on the beach, cooking steak on the fire escape of my apartment (not condoned by any fire-fighter) and even impromptu Architecture studio grill-outs. It takes less than a minute to setup, and another five of six minutes to fully heat up. The porcelain-enameled cast iron grill-top beats any other I've used and cooks everything from salmon to kabobs and back again, without missing a beat. Clean-up is easy thanks to the finish on the cooking surface and the smooth shape of the casing. And the pack away - being as easy as it is - makes you want to turn right around and start cooking on it again.

If you're between the ages of young and old, with a skill range between just-competent-enough-to-warm-up-a-poptart and iron chef, this grill will not disappoint!

 "Great dual use" 2009-07-14
By William Vernier
I purchased this grill to replace my old grill that was falling apart. I wanted something that I could use at home for our regular grilling and on the go. I have not been desappointed! I have used the Weber 41455 20 Pound Tank Adapter Hose to hook it to a 20 lb tank. It is very sturdy and practical. The best feature is the gas release control. You can get the grill extremely hot and have a wide range to adjust to the desired temperature (depending on what you want to grill). It is outperforming my old more traditional grill with more even heat.

"Good grill, obscenely priced by Weber" 2009-07-26
By G. Litwinski (Midland, MI United States)
Like all Weber kettle grills, this is a very good and durable grill.

However, when you consider that the only significant differences between this grill and the same Silver line grill are: 2X the price for the Gold line, an Al ash catcher on the Gold (that should come on the Silver, too), and the trap doors that allow you add more coals on the Gold w/o removing the cooking grate...what Weber charges for the two "improvements" is obscene. These cannot possably add more than $10 to their cost of production...doubling the price on the entire grill is...gouging.

The Gold 18-1/2" costs much more than the Silver 22" model as a result and the 22" is a much better buy as a result.

Think hard before you buy the 18-1/2" Gold vs. the 22" Silver.

Having said that, the Gold series ash catcher is a nice feature.

"Perfect size for small family" 2009-07-14
    By M. Troy
This grill is the perfect size for a small family and a key reason I bought it is for the ash can that is attached below. I had the larger 22 inch Weber grill but the ash fell on a tray below and it was always a mess to clean up. This system is much simpler. It arrived in perfrect condition and was easy to assemble even thuough the directions were poorly written and illustrated.

It cooks much faster than the smaller Weber grill we have. My husband prefers cooking with charcoal--and will not own a gas grill. We have been Weber grill users for 44 years! Nothing better than a Weber!

Ideal for the smaller family or meals. Uses less charcoal. Collection can under the grill does a terrific job and it is easy to dispose of ashes when full. Easy to assembly and is fairly sturdy. Use the charcoal igniter can as lighter fluid is not recommended. Enjoy!

     "Perfect Bachelor Grill" 2009-05-15
    By Shaun (Memphis, TN USA)
This grill is a great performer. As a single guy who typically grills for one, the 18.5" surface provides enough room that I can cook several meals at once. There's plenty of room to do indirect grilling, and even indirect "beer can chicken" with the coals arranged in a circular fashion around a pie tin. If you're only cooking for one or two people, you don't need anything bigger.

The most innovative feature on this grill? The hinged side flaps on the grilling surface, which you can pull up with tongs to drop in more coals or wood. I use a lot of hickory, and when it comes to adding more smoke, being able to get directly at the coals without disturbing the food is a huge advantage. No more fumbling with insulated gloves trying to lift the whole grate up.

Assembly instructions really could have been better (actually there were no instructions, just one tiny drawing). I couldn't figure out how the ash collector connects to the rest of the components, there were metal tabs on mine which weren't depicted in the diagram, and bending them out of the way didn't help. So I left it off, I just empty the ashes onto the patio and rinse them into the yard. Not a huge inconvenience but it kept me from giving a 5-star review.

If you're the type who buys a $10 imported rust-magnet grill at Wally World each spring only to watch it rot all year long, break that cycle and get a Weber One-Touch.

Product itself is pretty great. One of the plastic handles was broken when it arrived, I didn't bother doing anything about it because it seemed like more hassle then it was worth.

The handle/tray that you're intended to pull it with doesn't seem very sturdy so I don't use it, I just fold it in and use the black plastic handle. Make's it kind of difficult to use the wheels, but I really think the other part would break eventually.

I don't know if you can use a 20lb propane tank with it, but the small green ones last me long enough. Hope they get recycled.

     "Outstanding" 2009-07-14
By Michael T. Smith (New Sweden, ME)
I purchased this to replace the grill that came with my travel trailer. I recieved it opened the box and my 5 year old daughter and I assembled it in about 20 minutes. Most of the assembly we did without the aid of the instructions which are more than easy to follow (I checked after to make sure we got it right).

The quick connect fitting on my trailer wasn't compatible with the extend a hose kit I bought with the grill so I simply "parted out" the old grill and now it works wonderfully as I intended.

As for it use, we took it from the box to the trailer and left for a two week trip to the Canadian Maitimes. The grill fed us each night with absolutely no problems. It has ample heat, it's easy to clean, easy to set up and the wind dosent blow out the burner ever (this was the reason for replacing the old grill).

I give this grill 5 stars and I personally feel that it earned each and every one! For the price you can't go wrong! The biggest surprise I had was that I didn't think it would be as large as it is. I had previously been looking into the Coleman Road Trip grills and assumed it would be the same size. Much larger. It didn't fit in the storage compartment I had planned but I had plenty of room for it anyhow!

Great Grill, I would buy another and would reccommend it to a friend. In fact I will brag it up on the RV message board I belong to.

I just finished assembling my "Grill 2 Go". No problem, however, some parts are secured in plastic - DON'T OVER TORQUE. The igniter on one side doesn't work, not sure yet why. May just be too far from the burner surface to arc. There is a chip on the lid under the glaze. Packaging good so must just be QC. Grill material is CHEAP!!! Hope there's an upgrade. Lot's and lot's and lot's of plastic. Not too sure about lonegevity. All that said, the design is great [a wanted a portable I could use day-to-day as well] and I feel I got a lot for under $200. The griddle is neat and offers one a lot of flexibility. Grease tray sticks going in and out. Don't recommend using it while grease is still hot liquid.

If I was just starting my search, think I'd spend a few more dollars on something beter.

arrived broken in 7 places the 1st time... and the parts that were broken off were not in the box - so it was broken before it left manufacturer.... called char-broil - they wanted so send me the disassembled parts... of what amounted to the entire bbq piece. told them i bought an assembled bbq and shouldn't have to put together another one from parts because of their faulty quality control. called amazon and was immediately sent a new one... broken in 4 places... gave up - sent that one back. amazon stated they were removing it from the site due to quality issues - but i saw it still there the next few days. bought a camp chef instead - heavier but built like a tank and 30,000 btu PER burner.

    By T. Shemansky (Hazleton, PA)
I bought this as a replacement for the original grill in my RoadTrip that I have for 6 years now. I didn't have to get one because the original held up well, but just wanted something without the grit that built up over the years. The grit is my fault, actually BBQ chicken's fault, but it could of been cleaned better by me if I was more vigilant. I intend to use the new one for dogs, burgers, sausage and use the old one for messy marinated cooking.

My buddy has the RoadTrip with the steel grates and he has a much harder time cleaning it than I do. My original still has all the teflon on it, and I have scraped it with metal utensils! I always think about buying a big grill, but never do because I like this RoadTrip so much. I use foil under the grates instead of water and that works great. Anyway, I give it 5 stars.

     "A Superb Grill" 2009-09-28
    By S. Crease (Chicago)
I have used the Weber Q 120, with the optional accessory rolling cart and vinyl grill cover, twice, and I am completely satisfied with it. This portable grill assembles easily (great instructions), and starts instantly by pressing a single ignition button (only one click). It takes about 10 minutes to reach cooking temperature. The grill surface is easy to clean with a steel bristle brush and scraper. Also helpful are the two fold out work tables. In lieu of disposable canisters, I hooked it up to a large 20 lb. liquid propane tank (about $20.00 when filled, at grocery stores and Home Depot) with a Freedom Grill FG-50HA Stainless Steel Propane Hose Adapter. So far I have grilled salmon, chicken, and eggplant with perfect results. After using this, I can't imagine ever going back to a charcoal grill. As usual, Amazon's shipping was on time, as promised.      "Good as charcoal..., well getting there." 2009-09-10
    By D. Wong (Seattle, WA)
I like the convenience of this grill. I also have the rolling stand for it, which is secure for the most part, but a kind of wobbly when brushing the grill, but that's for another review. One thing that always bugged me was how it couldn't maintain a high temp. If I lid foil on the grill while heating, it seared great on the first side, but lost a lot of heat and could never really sear the other side the same.

I tried adding pumice into the grill to capture more heat. There was not that much difference.

Then I drilled out every hole on the burner with a 1/16" bit. I had made an attempt to enlarge the holes using a scratch awl, but you have to drill to get results. It gets slightly bigger, but it's all you need. Now the 2 second hand rule for grill temp is in effect. Now the flames get a nice purply border.

The only problem is that on full or even near full, without the cover open there isn't enough oxygen to feed the gas at the beginning of the tube. When I open I see the row light back up. Another problem that might be good is that one side of the grill is noticeably hotter when you are cooking. Two things to try next is to move the pumice to the cooler side to even out the temp. Also, I think if you create some sort of hole within the pumice with a metal tube would let more oxygen into the grill from below to keep the gas light. Also the screened hole at the end of the burner tube could be enlarged, that would definitely help.

One other problem. After reaching cooking temp, if the flames go out, you have to wait for the grill to cool down before it will light again.

I'll see how the fixes work.

First of all I gave it 4 * because its a gas grill and I'm a charcoal guy so no gas grill will ever get 5*. Getting beyond that prejudice I bought it for week long trips to the outer banks where we grill fish all week. Other then a little trouble getting a bottle started it just works well. The folding base is also great to have. My wife refuses to light my charcoal grill but has been using this when I am traveling. I got an adapter for a large propane bottle for around the house.

Basically it folds easily, cleans easily, and works great. this is a superior product

     "Great Portable Gas Grill" 2009-07-03
    By taislid1 (North Dakota)
This is a fantastic little portable gas grill. We bought the 120 to take on camping trips, which haven't really materialized yet. However, I gave my father my 4 year old Weber Genesis grill for Father's Day. I ordered a new Summit natural gas grill that is still on backorder from Weber. So I've been using this unit as an interim replacement for my full size grill.

WOW! What a job this thing has done! Its every bit as good a grill as my Genesis in a small little package. Nice even heat. The cast iron grate is nice. The only thing this grill lacks is the covered burners that eliminate flare-ups from basting. Even that was only an issue a couple times using sauces that are known to cause fires.

The plastic side tables are large enough to use as a staging area for those items waiting to be thrown on the grate.

It folds up into a nice little portable package that is easily carried wherever it is needed. The cover fits fairly well even with the propane bottle still attached.

I know this isn't meant to replace a full size grill, but it surely could for those that are using it only to do burgers, brats, or steaks. For those folks who prepare whole meals on the grill and/or require a side burner for sauces, marinades, etc, obviously the WeberQ120 isn't the grill of choice.

Weber definitely hit a home run with this little jewel of a grill!

I bought the Weber Q 120 grill three weeks back and found it to be very good. I have grilled three weekends in a row, hosted a small party and the grill was very handy. I grilled vegetables, chicken, shrimp and Boca Burgers, all of the came out very well. I also bought the rolling cart and the 20 LB propane tank adapter. It heats up pretty quick and cooks good, cleaning is easy as the grill is removable, the drip pan is very convenient and can be easily removed for cleaning. I am yet to take it out of my home and see how portable it is, but do not doubt its capability. It is light in weight but durable enough for some travel.

"Excellent inexpensive smoker for a first timer" 2009-08-21
By Brian S. Dart (Western NY)
I have been watching the net for a decent smoker at a reasonable price for a year now. I finally bought one of these last week. I have seen a couple reviews saying it isn't heavy duty and it only lasted a year or two but from what I have read and see now on my new smoker it is a good product for most people. If you are looking to feed an army seven days a week....maybe this isn't for you. But I wanted something that was simple to use and something that would deliver a nicely smoked dinner. This seems to fit the bill. I smoked a 9lb port shoulder and two racks of ribs without any problem whatsoever for space. I'd say if you were creative you could get two of those shoulders in there and 3 or 4 racks of ribs in the space provided. I didn't actually buy it form Amazon and got a little better deal, but I found the reviews on here to be helpful and wanted to put in my two cents. I'd say, if you are in the market and want something easy to use.....grab this smoker. I also have a digital thermometer (which I did get on Amazon) and it was nice to know the actual temperature of the meat. The cooking instructions that came with the smoker were about right on the timing but it's better to be safe when cooking pork and chicken.

     "returned- not buying again" 2009-08-20
    By jpeb (Texas)
I bought this as a gift to my father. It never worked - digital box never turned on. My father called masterbuilt on the phone to trouble shoot and see if there was some way to repair the product. The customer service rep. was absolutely no help, gave him the run around and implied that he must have broken it somehow. He wasn't even asking for a refund - just trouble shooting tips. Won't buy from masterbuilt again - dealing with amazon was a similar story. We're ordering a smoker from a local hardware store.
