Not to sound like a bad NFL coach post-game press conference cliche, but this smoke box "is what it is." It does it's job as a cheap smoke box, imparting added flavor to items you're slow cooking on your gas or coal grill. For true smoked meat flavor, you're better off buying a full-on, high-quality ceramic meat smoker, which can be purchased for upwards of $175.



For the price, this is a pretty decent tool to add to your BBQ utility belt.

Smoke box was too tall for the Weber Genesis grill, it would not fit between the flavor bars and the grilling rack. I had to return it. Got one from Home Depot, a bit larger but works great.

Very nice smoker for the money. I have a Weber S-320 grill and I bought this smoker to put under the grid on top of the flavorizer bars. The height of the smoker with the lid on prevents the grid to rest where it should. So I have to leave the lid off or put on top of the grid. Cheaper than Weber alternative.

this smoker is very nice. you get a little smoke with the lid closed or more by opening the sliding lid slightly . i don't use water because the smoker sits on top of the grates.

I purchased this grill for my husband's birthday/father day gift. We have own at least 4 small electric grills prior to this one. This is the best yet. It cooks evenly and heats quickly. My husband loves it for the occassional single burger or hot dog. Steaks cooks very well also. I would reccommend this for anyone who just needs a grill for cooking small amounts. It doesn't make sense to startup the big grill for just 2 or 3 burgers.

I wasn't pleased with charcoal or propane gas, so the electric way to grill seemed better. The results are the same without the toxins. I love the way components can be removed and cleaned, no more messy caked grill.

I have a Weber Q and liked it so much, that I bought a Q-140 for my vacation condo because gas grills are not permitted. The style, quality, and construction of the Q-140 is on a par with the Q , which is excellent. So it was with great surprise and deep disappointment that the Q-140 would not come even close to doing a good job at grilling a steak. It doesn't sear the steak like the Q does. It sort of bakes it and leaves marginal, pathetic grill marks. Not what you want in a grill. However, the Q-140 is just fine for things that need slower cooking at lower heat, such as ribs, pork, shrimp, chicken, veggies, etc. as long as the heat setting is set to Max. Good grill, just not for steak. For steak, I have to fall back on pan searing and then into a 325 oven to finish. I've ruined my last steak on the Q-140.
