Purchased a Cobb BBQ as I am single and wanted something easily portable to take camping with my kids. First night cooked Delicious Chicken (Super Juicy) with vegetables and potatoes on bottom and chicken on grilling rack. Delicious! No real mess easy to clean up, Second night baked a home made pizza at camp and was the bomb mom! I only used 6-8 Match lite type Briquetes. Truly a must have for the galloping gourmet who loves to travel or camp, would be great for an apartment dweller as well, small footprint. I don't know why they don't have these at Cabela's or Scheel's or any sporting good stores. They are way worth the price. I did read the instructions and followed them to the "T". The unit breaks down to a small canvas or nylon carrying bag which makes it even more convenient. I would recommend this product to everyone! Would also be great for emergency back up cooking in power outage, or to take on the beach or picnic. Really easy to produce great food, and easy to carry.

This thing is great. It works as described. One chicken, ten briquettes, and two hours is all ya need for one juicy bird (no need to check on it while it cooks). The grill plate accessory and the wire rack are a must buy. Use Pam and never scrub the nonstick with a greenie. I think people over emphasize cleaning the thing all together. Although its made of stainless steal and your gut wants the insides to sparkle ... just don't do it! Treat it like anyone would a grill, let it get seasoned with reasonable cleanings and the Epicurean will come out in ya! I've used the Cobb on many many camping trips and I use it at the house around three or four times a week. Its very sturdy and durable. For streaks and potatoes, I cook the potatoes wrapped in aluminum foil on the wire rack covered. When the potatoes are getting soft, I put them in the bottom, add a few more briquettes, install and let the grill accessory get hot (use the lid if you want to get it really hot) and cook the steaks. Mmmm ... It will cook anything. I've smoked a pork butt on it for eight hours (remove ashes as you add charcoal and use less charcoal in batches, 4 or 5 at a time, to keep the temp low). Great pulled pork BBQ! I still use my big BBQ for big jobs, but the Cobb works great for my all around favorite grill, oven, smoker and it goes anywhere and uses next to nothing in charcoal. I highly recommend it to anyone. In my graveyard of grills this one is a keeper :) My next buy is going to be the skillet and the wok accessories ... that's gunna be fun!

This grill was purchased to take with us when we leave to spend time at our camper. It is the perfect size for 2 to 4 people, and very easy to store. My husband uses it to smoke and has had wonderful results with ribs and a beef roast so far. This week we'll be smoking brisket, trout, and baby backs. We spray the insides with non-stick spray for easier clean-up. Just love the size, ease, and economy (uses very little briquettes). My husband will be writing his experiences and tips on smoking meats and fish on the Cobb website soon. One of the best purchases I've made online.

We have had the Cobb Premier Portable Stainless Steel Grill & Smoker almost two months and we use it weekly or more.
It is perfect for the two of us. Remember, this is Low and Slow cooking. It will probably take over an hour so don't get in a hurry.
This is NOT intended to replace a full size BBQ, or a large Smoker.
We have done Chicken legs, Stuffed Pork Chops, Chicken breasts stuffed with swiss cheese, asparagus and ham and wrapped with bacon, Butterfly'd Chicken (Spatchcocked), Fattie (stuffed sausage roll), and more.
The Cobb webb site has a forum where you can get ideas. Also, do a search for "Smoking Meat Forum"
You will find recipes, ideas, helpful people.
Till Spring when I can use it outdoors, I put it in the fireplace (with no fire.) Works fine.
I recommend getting a roasting rack. (It's not included.)
Another useful item is a thermometer with probe.
Read all of the reviews here. I give it 5 Stars.
